Wonderland Hollow was established in October 2020 by best friends and life collaborators, Andrew Magazine and Christina Chumbley on a couple of whims with complementary dreams.

Christina.

Christina is a North Carolina native on a constant exploration of life through art and culture. Being raised in the mountains and farmlands of NC has contributed to her love of the forests, horses, primitive skills, and brunswick stew. Christina began her studies in Sustainable Agriculture and Horticulture in 2010 at Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton, NC. Creeping further and further west, and exploring many different micro-communities along the way, she has finally settled in the finest of Fines Creek NC with her two kids, many animals, and best friend/co-owner/collaborator Andrew. Here she lives out her deepest longing, to live closely with the land, by tending to the field, forests, creatures, homeschooling her littles, and experimenting in building a culture new and old. Christina also works one on one with clients as an Intimacy and Empowerment Coach, makes various forms of art from knives to cat harnesses, and offers therapeutic Equine Connection experiences here at Wonderland.

Andrew.

Although a native (and lifelong!) New Yorker, Andrew finds more solace in the comforts of Wonderland Hollow than the metropolis nowadays. After having landed in Asheville in 2018 and spending a few years in “downtown” life, he’s made a life and living here in Fine’s Creek. Proficient in understanding anatomy, with education and careers in both dance and whole animal butchery, he spends his days chipping away at the homestead and running Applied Anatomist, a business offering a variety of skills in harvesting animals for homesteaders, from slaughter and “cut and wrap”, to workshops for all ages in any stage of the craft.
